Greetings Fellow Scolairians,
It is with some sadness that I write my last missive as your Seneschal. I have accepted a
position in Carol Stream and must leave the shire. It has been my honor to serve such fine
people as yourselves. I will always think of Scolairi as home and will visit often. I will
be leaving the shire in good hands as Master Rory has volunteered to take the helm. I wish
all of you well and thank you for many fond memories.
Yours In Service,
Julienne
Greetings to the shire from your exchequer. As we bid farewell and best wishes to Baroness Julienne, and end of the year is coming up fast, it's time to have an accounting of all goods held by the shire. Please go forth and make note of the items you hold for Scolairi. I have past inventories if you just want to verify those items are still where you thought you left them, and add any new items to the list. It's also a good time to note any items we need to repair, update or replace. I would ask that this counting of our property be done by the end of the year. I can then file it with my Doomsday for whatever audit the Kingdom may propose.
I have had words with Lord Akira, KM Exchequer, and such things will be checked more frequently then in the past.
So go forth and count!
Francesca
Not much to say this month. Lots of close events. Hope everybody is going and having a good time. Not much attendance at practices, but this is a busy time of year. Dawn will be checking on indoor accommodations for winter, we'll let you know when and where as soon as we can.

Chilly autumn greetings unto Scolairi from your Chatelaine.
Lady Vivienne de la Chartreuse has organized a good publicity opportunity for us with Downtown Bloomingtons Halloween Trick or Treat. Put on your richest garb or armor and join us Friday, October 27th, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in downtown Bloomington to hand out fliers to the trick-or-treaters. The Downtown Bloomington Merchants Association has kindly invited us to participate in the evening of festivities. Who knows? Maybe the Pantagraph will see this as a good photo opportunity. You may find your face on the front page!

Greetings Good Gentles,
This months A & S meetings will be on Oct 5 and 19 as usual. The Oct. 5 meeting will be the projects meeting and we will host another dance class on Oct. 19, with an open invitation to neighboring groups to join us as we prepare for the Shattered Crystals Crystal Ball in November. I will again provide iced tea and cookies for those who attend.
On another note, I am now participating in a kingdom-wide cooking project and will be test-cooking various Turkish recipes for a member of the cooking list. I will e-mail an open invitation to the Shire when Im working on one, for all to come on over to my house and consume the food when Im done (the recipes serve at least 30 people). Ill let you know what I am cooking, and you can choose to bring something to accompany the dish if you choose. I may even provide some mezze (little bits of various Middle Eastern hors doeuvres). Otherwise, I will offer something for you to drink with the dish being tested. It could be iced or hot tea, sekanjabin or lemonade. If you know of someone without e-mail please let them know about the invite or bring them with you!

Greetings unto the Schola Scribendi from Ellen of the Scholars.
Welcome and congratulations to Their Majesties, Brig and Bardolph! Since our newest royalty hail from the Midlands there are likely to be more nearby courts during this reign. Keep those scroll blanks coming!
Well, September was certainly a busy month. Hoobah! to the Midlands scribes who helped with last-minute scroll assignments for Coronation courts in Sternfeld! Another thank you and Hoobah! to the scribes who made scrolls for the Regency Court at MKAOD in Ravenslake. Their Majesties plan to continue the tradition of a scribal treasure chest during their reign, so be sure to attend them at court and listen for the names of your fellow scribes who have helped add to the glory of the Midrealm. Remember to send in your award recommendations!
We have a couple scriptorium meetings coming up on October 11th and October 25th. Is there anything specific you would like to work on?
We will also be co-hosting a scribal day with the shire of Rokkehealden December the 16th called Inkin in Lincoln. Hope you can all bring along your scribal tools and attend this day of scribal revelry! See the notice elsewhere in your Scolairi Notes for details.
